Sometimes after the hot stamping work, we will find that there is no pattern or the pattern is not strong enough on the hot stamped product. What is the cause of this?
The failure of hot stamping on the pattern or the weak hot stamping of the pattern is related to many factors such as the surface characteristics of the printed piece, the properties of anodized aluminum, the hot stamping temperature and pressure.
1. Too much powder on the surface of the printed part, the printing ink is not dry or the surface contains additives such as adhesive removal and bright oil, which will hinder the adsorption between the anodized aluminum oxide and the paper, The surface of the printed part can be de-powdered before work.
2. If the appropriate aluminum oxide is not selected, the hot stamping fastness will be directly affected. According to the size of the hot stamping area and the characteristics of the hot stamping material, to comprehensively consider which type of aluminum oxide is the most suitable. There are many different types of aluminum oxide materials on the market, and different types correspond to substrates with different materials and their most suitable hot stamping range, which are distinguished by adhesion and peeling degree during use. When the operator chooses the aluminum oxide material with poor fastness and tightness for hot stamping, the hot stamping pattern will be unstable and the gold will drop.

3. How to match the hot stamping equipment, hot stamping time and hot stamping temperature during work is not correctly grasped, thus affecting the hot stamping fastness and the clarity of the graphic and text outlines. Due to different equipment and materials to be stamped, the hot stamping time and hot stamping temperature are different. Moreover, the hot stamping time, hot stamping temperature and production efficiency are also greatly affected by the transfer performance of aluminum oxide. At the same time, pay attention to check whether the pressure is balanced, and check whether the hot stamping plate is damaged if some pictures and texts cannot be hot stamped.
4. Back-pull, which means that the aluminum oxide will pull away the printing ink or bright oil on the printed parts after hot stamping. The main reason is that the ink on the surface of the printed product is not dry or the post-processing treatment such as UV on the surface of the printed product is improper, resulting in the ink on the surface of the printed product, UV oil and the surface of the paper to be not firmly combined, the hot stamping should start after the printed product is dry. In addition, aluminum oxide materials with low separation force and excellent heat transfer properties can be selected.
