1. Empirical color matching method. The empirical color matching method refers to color matching based on the experience and feeling of the color matching person without a color measuring instrument. The early color matching method is based on the experience gained and accumulated by the color matching person from practice. The color matching in the middle and later stages is based on 10 basic color charts or printed chromatography as reference standards for visual color measurement. However, empirical color matching is often affected by the colorist's physiological, psychological factors and other objective conditions, which makes it difficult to maintain stable product quality. In addition, if the color matching person only relies on experience and feeling to color matching, it can be qualitative, but not quantitative, resulting in the inability to spread and communicate technology on a large scale.
2. Mechanical color matching. The mechanical color matching method is more advanced than the empirical color matching method, so it has gradually become popular in modern times. In all aspects of color matching, certain machinery and instruments are used as configuration and measurement tools, and the color matching work can be carried out in a relatively accurate range by drawing curve charts as a reference for color matching. Although this method has changed some blindness of color matching in the previous experience and improved the speed and quality of color matching, the accuracy of color matching is low and the error is large.
3. Computer color matching. Computer color matching has a history of about 30 years abroad. People use the connection between the color database stored in the computer and the relevant color matching software to analyze and process the color data on the sample draft, and select the color formula suitable for the sample draft through calculation, correction and color mixing, and then complete the automatic color matching of the ink. Computer color matching requires that the color of the ink sample matched by the standard color sample is expressed in numbers, which ensures the accuracy and unity of each color matching, thus greatly saving the color matching time. Convenience, speed and accuracy are the advantages of computer color matching. However, the color matching parts developed by different enterprises and companies are all developed on the basis of considering their actual production and application conditions. There is no unified standard, which is also one of the reasons why computer color matching cannot be popularized.
