d. Initiator, which is the chemical substance that initiates the cross-linking reaction. As a photochemical reaction, the initiator - after being excited by light and absorbing photons, becomes very active. It generates free radicals, and transfers energy to other photosensitive polymers, resulting in a chain reaction, combining single molecules, additives, and Light cured resin to make ink curing reaction.
